Kaitlin Elizabeth Truxillo

It was my first semester in Fine arts in college when the "sketchbook" was drilled into my daily routine by one of my professors. We were required to fill a full sketchbook by the end of the semester and complete a page each day on our own, aside from tasks we completed in class. I actually fell in love with the idea of a sketchbook. I still keep a "journal" to this day. The accomplishment of filling a full aesthetically pleasing journal makes my heart beat a little faster!!

 

I find them to be SUCH useful tools (not just for work related stuff…although I do find them handy for that too). But for reflection and make me feel like I am leaving behind documentation of my daily lived experiences. I would love to think one day my future spouse and children would appreciate things I found so important to document throughout my journey.
